The challenge
A Venice water taxi service managed bookings, ride assignment and invoicing with manual processes and separate systems. The complexity was distinctly Venetian: rates and availability depending on embarkation and landing points, schedules, loads and fleet composition. Every booking required manual checks, assigning rides to boats absorbed continuous operational time, and invoicing high volumes of rides — to business clients and hospitality facilities — kept administration busy for entire days.
The solution
We built a single flow on Odoo from booking to invoice. Integrated e-commerce with complex rate rules based on geolocation of embarkation and landing points: the customer books online and the price calculates itself. A ride auto-assignment engine accounting for schedules, loads and vessel availability, integrated with the fleet management software already in use — no double entry. Mass invoicing of rides with automatic document generation and e-invoicing submission. All on a platform we manage and support continuously.
